Vol. 1 No. 1 (2025): Tanzania Journal of Business Studies

We are excited to launch the first issue of the Tanzania Journal of Business Studies.
Our vision is to make this journal a place where new ideas and thoughtful
conversations about business come together. We are keen to explore the changing
world of business in Tanzania and around the globe. Our goal is to create a platform
that shares innovative research and discussions that are relevant to the business
community. By doing so, we hope to inspire new thinking and approaches that can
help businesses thrive in today's fast-paced environment.
This edition is packed with a wide variety of articles that show just how complicated,
but interesting, business research can be these days. We've got studies on how
analyzing spending affects the way public entities manage different categories and on
how sustainable small and medium-sized businesses in the food processing industry
are in Morogoro. Our researchers have tackled some critical topics that matter to
people all over the world, not just locally. This issue endeavours to cover a wide
range of topics, from examining how governments and other organizations can
improve their purchasing decisions to exploring the challenges faced by small
businesses in Tanzania. The goal is to give our readers a better understanding of the
complex issues that businesses and governments are dealing with and to provide some
insights that can help them make more informed decisions.
This issue looks at how training services affect small-scale farmers who grow fruits
and vegetables. It shows that education and building skills are key to helping these
farmers produce more and be better prepared for challenges. This approach is
important for Tanzania's economy to grow. By giving farmers the tools they need,
they can improve their productivity and be more resilient, which can have a big
impact on the country's economic development.
We also look into how well training works for office supervisors in local government
when it comes to managing personnel records. This research shows that ongoing
learning and skill development are vital for these roles to work efficiently and be
accountable to the public.
The articles also highlight the significance of resilience in public sector organizations
and how factors such as coordination, resource availability, and international support
can influence the effectiveness of health supply chains. These discussions are vital as
Tanzania continues to navigate complex challenges within both public and private
sectors.
We appreciate the efforts of our respected authors, peer reviewers, and editorial board
members, as well as the advisory board members whose feedback and candid advice
have greatly improved the articles. We invite scholars, professionals, and students to
participate in this edition, exchange ideas, and join the ongoing discussion in the
business studies field.
We're starting something new, and we want you to be a part of it—the Tanzania
Journal of Business Studies. Let's work together to create a community of scholars
and business professionals who are passionate about learning and sharing knowledge.
We're always looking for new manuscripts to publish in our upcoming issues, so
please send yours in anytime. Your input is crucial to keeping the conversation goingand helping us learn more about business. We invite all scholars and professionals to
share their thoughts and research with us so we can continue growing and improving
together. By working together, we can advance our understanding of business and
make a real impact.
We appreciate your ongoing support and enthusiasm and hope you will continue
sharing your insights in our upcoming editions.
Sincerely,
